Review of Knight Without Armour (1937) by Sausages M — 31 Mar 2013
Surprisingly interesting, and entertaining old film presenting a drama of action, adventure and intrigue during the events up to and during the Russian Revolution. I particularly found the portrayal of the internal struggle between the Whites and the Reds very convincing, and the whole film is very well put together with some interesting visual directorial and cinematographic touches.
Dietrich is very good as the heroine with a few more balls than you'd expect, but the film belongs to Robert Donat, all things considered. He really is very good in it. This is a very entertaining historical drama with characters you will care about, no worse off for its age.
