Review of Knife in the Water (1962) by Felix G — 12 May 2008
An uneasy, tension-charged debut from Polanski that really does neat things with repetetive framing. The subtext is working, but not overwhelming, and the story is free of preaching. Really good performances and quite a brisk - but thoughtful - ride.
