Review of Klute (1971) by Cli O — 24 Nov 2008
Well-directed and acted, but rather slow. Of course, it was 1971, and movies were allowed to move at a more leisurely pace then. Long sequences are without music, giving the film a rather eerie feel, and adding a certain realism.
The plot is simple and without any real surprises, but the power of the performers makes it work.
