Review of Kit Kittredge: An American Girl (2008) by Don S — 02 Aug 2017

My 9 year old would give this 5 stars for sure! For me, it's 3, but it is indeed a good family movie! It's a sanitized look at life during the depression, with job loss, home loss, and the struggle for a family to make ends meet.

They also touch on "hobo" life, and how truly hard life was during that time period. This movie has a strong cast that saves some of the flaws, and like I said, my daughter loved it, and I, much to my surprise, liked it!
