Review of Kit Kittredge: An American Girl (2008) by Greg G — 05 Jul 2008

My wife is a soft-touch for "sweet", well-cast movies, and frankly, so am I. So---she, her mother, and I spent a couple of delightful hours in the multi-plex on July 3 along with a paltry one-third of a theater-full enjoying Kit and her friends/family.

Except for the slow set-up of the story (the first half), it was a delight. I could have given it a "9" rating if the director had been able to move it along faster, but even with that flaw I can give it a strong "8".

You'll have to love "aw, shucks" films or you won't like this one. We are hoping that it is the beginning of more in the series.
