Review of Kiss of the Spider Woman (1985) by Andrey B — 10 Jun 2016
A very effective drama, thanks to its timeless themes regarding escaping isolation through fantastical scenarios, and an amazing performance from the ever-complex William Hurt. Some areas of the film haven't aged too well (camerawork is a bit pedantic for this type of subject matter), but when it's good it's at the level of a near-masterpiece.
