This was a pretty good thriller/drama from Barbet Schroeder.
A great cast with David Caruso, Samuel L. Jackson, Nicolas Cage, Stanley Tucci, Ving Rhames and Helen Hunt.
I have never seen the original 1947 version but I thought this was a very interesting and well done movie.
Lots of everything from action, nudity, drama and interesting characters.
