Unique film noir from the mid 50's. Great hard boiled disloyal. Meeker's Mike Hammer is a real sadistic SOB. The ending is perfect and fully captures the paranoia in the air due to the cold war and related arms race.
Cloris Leachman is effective as the first of several femmes fatalle who come into contact with Hammer.
