The Golden Circle is nowhere near as good as the original, nor could it ever be. It's crazily overlong, thinly plotted, unevenly paced and bizarrely overstuffed, often making it a messy and bumpy ride.
Luckily it manages to reignite its delightful silliness, likeable characters, glorious profanity and spectacular action sequences to make it guilty pleasure entertainment. Matthew Vaughn has more fun than ever but sometimes spins out of control.
