Disappointing, disappointing , disappointing. First film was s true wonder. Cool and aggressive in its energy to break boundaries, avoid stereotypes and suprise. This second film seems to pander to the US and in doing so it's hit rock bottom. Bottom line is that this was a quintessential British film with our distinct pragmatic approach. We don't give a hoot about the US formula for film making. This film has cow towed to the US for box office reasons and has become an empty franchise as a result. Where wit pervaded the first film, it's been replaced by obvious overused plot lines and 2d characters, mostly the US ones. Fact is the US is clumsily shoehorned into this film. The fight scenes now don't zip and whiz they just mostly plod. Example use of meat grinder twice to kill two people in. Example, kingsmen defeated by first statesman they encounter. Example, duplication of Merlin's role by Ginger. Example, shoehorn Elton John in as if his presence would be amusing, he's not an actor and is out of his depth.

So very very disappointed. Kinsman the secret service was an audacious free moving quirk. The golden circle is a waste of time , rarely have I been so disappointed.
