Review of Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) by Noah K — 27 Sep 2017
Delightfully violent, with a well written story to draw back characters from the first film.
The whole Statesman agency was excellent, injecting more interesting American accents into the mix with the Great British, and also adds many excellent actors and characters, with Moore as the villain being the standout, with her crazy supervillain lair a highlight.
The new weapons and gadgets are superb, even better than the first film.
A few gripes, the initial action sequence was the best of the movie, although there were some that followed that got close to its greatness, and it was over 2 hours long, which I would normally complain about, but this kept me engaged (the original movie was over 2 hours as well). Also, not enough Channing Tatum, unfortunately, as his character was very fun and deserved more screentime.
If you liked the first, you'll like this one, as it's much of the same, but kicks it up a little with its more diverse cast.
Watched at Westhills Theatre with Andy, Clay, Billy, and Jim, September 21, 2017.
