Review of Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV (2016) by Amy S — 16 Sep 2016
Loud and incoherent. I'm generally able to follow the plot of even notoriously confusing movies on my first viewing. I have no idea what was happening here, even having played the demos and watched Brotherhood.
The Brotherhood anime did a very good job at developing characters. This film did ok at action, though it tended to overdo it so much we lose contact with the characters. Hopefully the game's a combination of the two, with the balance leaning more in Brotherhood's favor.
Because the last thing we need is another convoluted XIII plot that mistakes detail for depth and noise for excitement.
