Review of King Solomon's Mines (1950) by Paul C — 07 Oct 2008
Classic Boy's Own adventure with a distinctly 1950's slant on Quartermain's adventures in the Dark Continent. The action is unrelenting and the cinematography as magnificent as Granger's shocking white sideburns (the film was actually shot on location in Africa).
Look out for a brilliantly bad 'spider' towrads the beginning of the film.
