Nothing special or original but "King Ralph" does feature some good performances and a easy to watch narrative which audiences will be familiar with. Goodman is well cast and brings natural humour and warmth to his role but in essence the film is another generic fish out of water comedy which will not live long in the memory but is worth a watch with the family or for a cosy Sunday indoors.
