Review of King of Kings (1961) by Reynaldo José V — 10 Apr 2009
Another aproximation of the life and glory of Jesus Of Nazareth, this time besides the well known stories from the gosspels we have some very strong subplots with Barrabas and with the decadence of the Roman Empire, this maybe distracts sometime from the very core of the movie that has to be tell the story Jesus once again, and probabbye was maded with this porpous trying to make it more appealing for other audiences with a little more intrigue and violence, but besides this and a very little directing and acting flops, the eternal good story remains.. and a excellent acting from Jeffrey Hunter (Jesus), and Viveca Lindfords, Ritan Gam and Ron Randall,.. the movie becames another Must See for Mayor Week and a very watchable almost 3hour long epic...
5 Stars to and Salome.... =P.
