I've always been a fan of evan rachel wood since I watched her in this movie called thirteen (a must watch)..king of california is about a father and daughter love and hate relationship, the dad is a nutcase who cameout of mental institute thinking he has just found a treasure map.

..the daughter is an independent person cause she has to fend for herself after her mom left and dad was admitted into the mad house...daughter thinks her dad is crazy and like to create stories and lies to make himself better.

..through the story of Father Juan Florismarte Garces and the buried treasures, father and daughter discover more den just the treasures itself..comical at times, throughout the movie my mind keep wondering is this guys really nuts or wadever he is saying is really the truth.

..this movie is one hell of a best kept treasure to watch =)...reminds me of my love and hate relationship with my dad minus the madness and the buried treasures lol...
