A film crew on a deserted island for that exotic location look run into a colossal gorilla who kidnaps the blonde star of the film. The original King Kong is still undoubtedly the best version of the film.

King Kong is considered the father of creature features, and certainly one of the most memorable of its early period, with its groundbreaking special effect which still hold great visual appeal to this day.

Nevertheless, perhaps the most amazing aspect of the movie is having been able to squeeze a softer and sweeter undertone to the film which not only allows the audience to connect with it more, but also added an unexpected delicate emotional depth to the film.

This review of King Kong (1933) was written by on 09 May 2013.

King Kong has generally received very positive reviews.
