Review of King Kong (1933) by Elliott L — 02 Oct 2011
With special effects considered "inferior" by today's standards, this classic masterpiece, pushing 80 years old is a stunning example of why the motion picture was invented. Sure, the special effects are borderline hilarious at times, but in 1933, a film of this scale was never seen before. Peter Jackson's 2005 remake is also enjoyable, but it simply cannot touch this!
One of the most important films ever made.
