Review of King Kong (1933) by Aiden A — 30 Jul 2014
Its most noteworthy accomplishment are its groundbreaking special effects that dazzled people in the 1930s and still hold up very well today. While its characters are more than a bit one dimensional and some of its dialog rather silly it still completely works as a thrilling monster movie with a fast paced sense of adventure that never lets up.
It deserves its reputation as a classic and so many movies that came later owe so much too it.
