Review of King Kong (1933) by Tristan L — 19 Jun 2010
Awesome Classic, Can't beat the Scream Queen's Screamin'.
A documentary film crew charters a ship for a secret voyage to Skull Island, in search of the legendary Kong. When the young starlet(Fay Wray) is sacrificed to Kong by the local tribe, her new lover(Robert Armstrong) does everything in his power to retrieve her from the the giant ape.
This established classic sets the bar for all future monster flix, with the latest special effects of the time, and superb acting skills that only the thirties can give us. Fay Wray is truly the Scream Queen, in this story of Beauty and the Beast.
