Review of King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017) by Farah R — 10 Sep 2017
After masterpieces like Sherlock Holmes and The Man From U.N.C.L.E, expectations were quite high for Guy Ritchie's latest film. Unfortunately that excitement was only met with disappointment as King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword is nothing more than a bloated story drowning in CGI.
It's evident that a lot of money went into the production of this movie for the sets were magnificent and the amount of stunts included in the fight sequences were insane. However the lack of storytelling for this well overused tale was not impressive even with Ritchie's vision.
The visual effects were also too much it felt like there were no real actors in the shot. In the end, watching Jude Law in medieval costume as a villain was the most entertaining part of the movie.
