Review of King Arthur (2004) by Matthew M — 03 Jun 2009
I always wanted to see this movie after Clive Owen was awesome in Inside Man. Finally watching this I was disappointed because of how weak the characters and the storyline were. The main problem is they just come in sort of the end of the line and do not really tell much back story on any of the characters.
They seemed cool and I wanted to know them more but I could not. It is a big budget movie and did well worldwide however here in America for some reason it did not do as well. However the success to not match how I felt and it was a let down because I just could not get into the movie it has every thing going for it but just does not succeed.
It was able to get all the necessary ingredients but it just did not mix into something good. Director, actor, composer, producer and props. Kiera Knightley is in the movie but I felt that she and the group she was with was without much motive.
The motive was what bothered me the most because it felt the was no drive or reason to what was happening. Overall, I wish it was more appealing for me.
