Review of Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949) by Angeline H — 16 Jun 2007
A masterpiece in irony and wonderfully understated charm. Surely one of the earliest black comedies, and an absolute joy. Alec Guinness gets a lot of the praise, but it is Dennis Price's performance and narration, that portrays serial murder in such an elegantly British manner, which quite literally steals the show.
