Review of Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949) by Tony D — 13 Feb 2008
Elegant Ealing black comedy where a down-on-his-luck aristocrat decides to inherit the family dukedom. Unfortunately several people, namely eight members of the D'Ascoyne family (all superbly plyed by Alec Guiness) stand in his way.
This film is one of the greats of British cinema.
