Review of Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949) by Izzy G — 04 Mar 2009
"It is so difficult to make a neat job of killing people with whom one is not on friendly terms".
10/10.
A bitterly funny black comedy. Kind Hearts and Coronets is an often-forgotten masterpiece of dark and unapologetic humour.
A sympathetic look at a serial killer with fantastic multiple performances by Alec Guinness. The film explores one man's quest to kill off each of his family members in line before him for his dukedom.
Kind Heart and Coronets is a forgotten masterpiece.
