Finally Hollywood sent us an amusing action and an excitement-promising film.

I have been waiting for ages to choose the best Action, Drama and Thriller movie in 2009 so far, and yes, of course Killshot was my choice (as Vantage Point was as well last year).

I think now it's a piece of cake to know if the movie is good or not before watching it.

I shall explain how....

First of all, the main actor or actress were Oscar Nominees in the last project before the film even begun( this forced them to choose the second role carefully and craftily, in order to keep clean their reputation), that's exactly what Mickey Rourke did, he won the Golden Globes for his lifetime role in The Wrestler, and Randy 'The Ram' was about to win the Oscar for it as well; Thus, after being done with The Wrestler, he directly went for the Killshot script. just for keeping his good rate up.

Secondly, the writer must have been brilliant enough to choose Killshot as it was based on a novel for Elmore Leonard ( the writer of 3:10 to Yuma, Be Cool and Jackie Brown).

Third came the teamwork; Diane Lane, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Thomas Jane, and Rosario Dawson with John Madden the director of Mrs Brown (1997), Shakespeare in Love (1998), and Proof (2005). There was not a crew that could rhyme as softly as that.

If the three formerly mentioned above grouped together in one film, I guaranty that this will be one of the best movie of the year.

Another thing is that the performance is so realistic in the film. I mean Mickey Rourke as a contract killer hired by the Mafia, Diane Lane as the best victim, Thomas Jane the brave husband who wanted to protect his wife, along with Rosario Dawson who added a tinge of a girly touch in the film. All of the performances were so realistic, but a special credit goes to the man who did the greatest effort in the film, the new Heath Ledger as I see him to be, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I absolutely enjoyed his performance so much that for a while I thought it was for real!

Last but not least, if you loved watching Killshot as I did, I advise you to watch Death Sentence (2007) as they Both run for the same idea.
