Review of Killshot (2008) by Glen W — 25 Jun 2009
Carmen Colson (Diane Lane) and her soon to be ex husband Wayne (Thomas Jane) are placed in the Federal Witness Protection program after witnessing an extortion scheme go wrong at Carmens workplace. The failed crime was pulled by the stonefaced indian hitman Armand 'The Blackbird' Degas (Mickey Rourke) and his so called associate, Richie Nix, a psychopathic young upstart killer. Armand do not accept witnesses to his crimes and eventually he tracks down Carmen and Wayne and his goal is to terminate them.
"Killshot" is based on an Elmore Leonard novel and to be honest it should have stayed a novel... This is messy, unintentionally funny and a waste of talent. Mickey Rourke in a bad wig and no proper lines.... Joseph Gordon-Levitt is trying to be a psychopathic young killer.... Thomas Jane is pointless... Diane Lane has nothing to work with... Nope, this is another one down on the bad side for Mickey for sure. And Diane Lane.
