Review of Killshot (2008) by Michael B — 12 Jul 2009
Far from the cream of Elmore Leonard's adaptations (see Get Shorty and Jackie Brown), Killshot is still an undeservedly overlooked thriller. The plot is a little thin, but Mickey Rourke and Joseph Gordon Levitt make an excellent team, Rourke a restrained hound and Levitt the trigger-happy wannabe outlaw.
Lane and Jane are less interesting, but sell it enough. Perhaps actually works better on the small screen with lower expectations, but definitely a decent way to kill a night.
