Review of Killshot (2008) by Dana A — 31 Mar 2010
This was your standard crappy indie movie where the plot wasn't that strong, the events were predictable and basically you really didn't understand some of the characters motives, even to the point where it became annoying.
I will admit this was a lot better then I expected and the acting was pretty good. Mickey Rourke was pretty average but Joseph like always stole the show and basically carried the whole movie, when though his character was annoying as all hell.
The pairing of the two really didn't make any sense both in personality of the characters and the actors themselves, but somehow they seemed to be each others half. Mickey the quite killer while Joesph was completely off the wall.
Diane Lane and Thomas Jane did the best they could with the medicore script and were pretty convincing. The main problem with this movie was the reason behind the characters relationships, neither were strong enough nor really made much sense.
I felt like they were randomly thrown together and the director just yelled "action!" The premise could have been better and the suspense much strong. The music at times was overwhleming and instead of making me scared or in suspense the overuse of the music just became overbearing.
Something to see if your not paying for it or if your a fan of Joesph who had better parts with far less well known actors.
