Review of Killshot (2008) by Alex B — 12 Aug 2009
Comes in on the lower end of the spectrum of Elmore Leonard film adaptations. Wastes a really impressive cast with some shoddy dialogue and horribly dated crime-novel plot devices. Rourke is unconvincing as a part Native-American, JGL pushes his testosterone-hick edge too far, Jane goes too introspective, Lane is passable, and Dawson is not given nearly enough to do.
I can see why the Weinsteins would fight so hard to get a movie like this made, but it might been better with other people involved.
