Review of Killer's Kiss (1955) by William C — 21 Jun 2011
Kubrick's second film floored me -- it's a perfect example of style winning over substance.
It has the makings of your typical throwaway '50s film (cliched noir storyline, flat narration, bad acting) but it's so wildly well done, it's very worth checking out. The opening boxing scene and final fight are a couple of highlights.
