I first heard about this movie in the 5th grade and it's been something of a white whale. Finally saw it, and it was a "meh", not good, not bad, just there.
The idea of aliens that look like clowns and visit our planet to harvest bodies with cotton candy cocoons and popcorn guns since the dawn of man, is so out there that it's cool. But then it never really delivers. It's not horror, it's really funny at times, the clowns look cool, the visual effects are funny, the actors are kinda funny, kinda over the top, but again, they never dive fully in it.
It could've been a cult classic, but it lacks commitment.
