Just watched this again recently and it gets such a high rating because it brings back so many childhood memories. This was my favorite movie as a kid and I hadn't seen it since I was a kid....and even now it's a movie that I love and can watch over and over again.
In all honesty I'd probably rate it at 4 stars but it gets a high rating due to the fact that it has so much other meaning to me. I fucking love this movie!!!!
