Review of Kill List (2011) by Murray G — 05 Sep 2011
A shocking and disturbing tale about a British hit man who is drawn into a contract by an ex-army pal to execute 3 people after 8 months without working. He feels obliged after dosmetic and financial issues begin to raise their ugly heads.
Once he accepts the contract he wishes he hadn't as events begin to spiral out of control...and that's all I can tell you! I'll just say that you shouldn't watch this if you've got a weak stomach as it contains EXTREMELY graphic scenes of violence! It has an amazing atmosphere throughout and keeps you gripped as to what's going to happen next.
I didn't feel comfortable watching it (as did most of the other people in the screen - I even heard nervous laughter during a particularly nasty torture scene) and probably wouldn't sit through it again but it was good anyway.
If I had to compare it to other films it was a bit like a mix of 'Straw Dogs' and 'The Wicker Man'.
