Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) by Shawn S — 20 May 2014
More challenging than it's predecessor, but equally rewarding if you are willing to accept it. What is most surprising however is how powerful and complex the drama is and how potent the pathos. Don't be fooled.
This is serious stuff and might be the point when Tarantino stopped being a quirky auteur in the way of Tim Burton and Wes Anderson and became and American Master worthy of Scorcese, Lumet, and Hawks.
