Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) by Matt O — 16 May 2012
Improves on it's predecessor in so many ways it's not even funny. Ironically, it's the toned-down violence and increased emphasis on character development that brings the story to life much better than Vol.
1. Also, there's an intriguing focus on the shift from anime-influenced ultra-violence to more realistic brutality (and not just in the physical sense), better yet Tarantino weaves it into the story perfectly.
One of his best films.
