Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) by Nathan M — 01 Feb 2013
I actually liked this one the best. Though the first one was much more entertaining, and it had more action I felt like this one had more of the elements that Pulp Fiction had. It had more talking scenes, and I liked the flashbacks to when she was being trained. The first one though I thought it was very good, I thought it was over the top. I liked this one, because it cut down on the elements that made it to over the top, and made this one more focused on acting. However some of the talking scenes did get too long, and I lost interest at points.
I thought it was really stupid how she dug herself out from being barried alive. Why would he leave her with knife, and flashlight? That is the kind of villian stupidity that you see in Bond movies.
The final scene where the brides daughter is watching cartoons I found reminiscent to the scene with Christopher Walken in "Pulp Fiction." The scene where the Bride takes out Elle's eye was just as funny as the scene when they shot Marvin in "Pulp Fiction," but much more disturbing. The Kill Bill films too me are like comedie's making fun of old stereotypical ninja movies, which makes me love them.
