Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) by Godwin G — 03 Apr 2013
Less violent than volume one, but still as gruesome, Vol 2 is less of a moody, brutal revenge flick and more of a deeply harrowing, intensely stylised journey. Tarantino masterfully uses camera angles, lighting and music to build masses of tension, which the brilliant actors (Uma Thurman in particular) feed off, to create their thrillingly creative characters.
Overall, Kill Bill Volume 2 finishes the two-parter with glorified flair and finely tuned style.
