Uma Thurman is an engaging protagonist and David Carradine is in fine form as the prime target of her vengeance, but, after an energetic and violent lead-up spanning two films, their final confrontation is surprisingly disappointing. However, there are some exceptional examples of great dialogue here (Carradine's goldfish story, for one) and Thurman executes her suitably claustrophobic "buried alive" sequence with flair.
The film is unnecessarily overlong but is, nonetheless, an entertaining ride.
