Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) by Brian R — 27 Aug 2018
Tarantino's pastiche of pop culture winds down in the conclusion to his 'Bride run amuck' series. This time around he trades in the chop-socky aesthetic of Vol. I for a spaghetti western showdown at noon.
All done with tongue firmly in cheek. The anti-climactic ending is a soft option and the crackling dialogue that is Tarantino's folly seems strikingly absent.
