Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) by Cale B — 21 Feb 2014
Kill Bill: Volume 2 serves no other purpose than to conclude the cliffhanger we're left with in Volume 1. The Kill Bill movies offer nothing more than dumb revenge plot mechanics elevated for outrageous style which is where it derived its stunning originality.
The conclusion, however, fades into dull territory with an unsatisfying amount of stylized action and a lot of digression to fill the screen with information that isn't particularly essential to the plot in order to prolong the film until its somewhat anti-climactic ending.
