Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) by David B — 13 Feb 2016
The pop encyclopaedia and video-store genius has become a megalomaniac, and the exhilarating filmmaker he might have been is disappearing fast. There is much to admire but little to love. Tarantino is not a director who engages on an emotional level.
There is less action here, than what the first part had and more of a dialogue talking film but does bring alot of background of the characters where the first didn't. It's certainly slower than the first film but that's not a problem but the ending was a little dull and boring but at least the title lived it's name.
Not his best but if you've seen the first part, you've GOT to see this. Still, the performances from the cool cast are still great. Though, I thought the ending was long winded and unnecessary.
Apparently, Kill Bill Vol.3 is in the running and it should be interesting how they could do this, if it happens.
