Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) by Cameron J — 10 Aug 2015
Damn.
This is the last Tarantino-directed film I had to see (excluding Grindhouse), and, once again, I am gobsmacked, delighted, and inspired.
Kill Bill Volume I is a conglomeration of style, humor, action, drama, revenge, and brutal gore. It is aesthetically perfect and affirms Tarantino is the "Movie DJ" he claims to be.
The soundtrack, while it uses mostly popular music, is one of my favorites of all time.
I can't wait to watch Part II.
Side Note: I think we underestimate Lucy Liu's performance. It is masterful.
