Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) by Eduardo G — 30 Jan 2016
Tarantino comes back with another gruesome and violent installing, but this one is a bit more flashy and different I might say. Kill Bill starts Uma Thurman as her character "The Bride" sought revenge after 5 assassins spoil her wedding kill her husband and all the people in the wedding including her baby.
Kill bill has brilliant action scenes and we actually get invested in the Bride since we see what she suffers and what she has to go through. The build up to an intense fight is great, and Tarantino lounges to hook it's audience waiting for the next action scene.
The dialogue is good and gritty, as always in a Tarantino film. Nevertheless, the film is not perfect. There are some boring and dull moments, especially towards the end. Some moments are especially annoying, when the Japanese was singing for example.
You'll know what I mean when you see the movie. Kill Bill is far from perfect, but Tarantino doesn't disappoint and that is why it gets a B+.
