Review of Kikujiro (1999) by Eric S — 21 Nov 2007
Hilarious and sweet, but if it were not for Kitano's humorous performance this would be like all the other road films. Although this drags a bit in the third act, the hilarity continues throughout the entire movie.
Like all Kitano movies, this one has blood and gangsters. However, the director is extremely clever, turning an event as sickening as child molestation into one of the funniest scenes in the film.
