My favorite of Kitano's work simply for the fact that he proves to the Western audience that he can do more than gangster movies.
Heatfelt, candid, genuine, and sweet.
One of the best "road trip" movies ever.
Transcendent and delightful. even while hinting at much darker themes and subjects.
Just a wonderful film, really.
