Review of Kidulthood (2006) by Natasha S — 23 Dec 2007
I found it hard to follow initially mainly because of the accents. A far cry from the teenagers depicted on Brit TV show Skins - I really felt for the suicidal character and the fear that comes from bullying.
Quite a predictable ending and the situations are a bit stereotypical. The characters you do kind of get into them a bit - and you feel sympathy for them even though they're assholes. I can say though I have never done coke nor did I ever see any of my teenage friends doing coke. Well only the legal liquid variety. Not enough to make an impact but entertaining enough.
