Review of Kidulthood (2006) by Si F — 23 Jan 2009
I was really surprised by this film, rather than the nasty chav story that I expected it to be I was treated to a well written and realistic look at teen life, not just in London, but right across the UK, from Glapwell to Glasgow, Southampton to Sheffield, this is how our kids are growing up. Maybe not so bad in rural Sussex, but degree's of this behaviour flow through the country, and I for one am so glad that my school days are behind me. A mixture of being a metal fan and a big mouth would've got me dead.
Great film, not for the faint hearted, but kinda compulsory if you have teen or tweenage kids.
