Review of Kidulthood (2006) by Jonathan S — 16 Feb 2009
Thoroughly got into this movie. I found it just kept getting better the more I watched. At 36 years age I already struggled with the lingo but I think anyone born after rock and roll will recognise characters from their own school.
Can't escape being labelled the UK's answer to 'KIDS'. There are so many parallels. I think what it successfully highlights is the complete lack of genuine interest and understanding adults these days have in their kids lives.
Can't wait for Adulthood. My 11 year old son asked if there was a British movie about life at secondary school. I am both tempted and frightened to show him this.
