This is a great movie. I was already a fan of Rosario Dawson when I first saw this and I was a little disappointed I didn't see a lot more of her, but the performances are very genuine. The film does a good job of showing the true face of many of the problems and the troubles teens find themselves in.
It explores drugs, sex and crime but it does so in a way that is realistic rather than exploited. The male lead, however, is incredibly unattractive and annoying as Telly. Could they not find any other actors who were more charismatic and attractive?
